Just looked it up..........if you claim it in European country it goes up as normal........lots of other countries it stays the same for life including Canada and New Zealand.

An elderly British woman recently flew over from Canada to try and get the government to raise her pension(I think hers was £72 a week and had been for 20+ years)....of course they are not going to change the rules now with the public finances in such a mess.....

I think he'll need a bit more meat on his bones if he s not worked for 8 months...he will have lost a lot of muscle....the good thing is it's easy to grow it again once he starts working regularly and eating well.

The woman who owns this place also owns a local insurance broker. So I'll be doing their offices from now on, every two weeks. Never cleaned anything fortnightly before. Anyway, that's what she wants.

Na ;). Although today is the day after and I feeling pretty good. Trad cleaning indoors yesterday wasn't particularly agreeable, due to the continuing shoulder issue, fortunately trad cleaning left handed was something that was a requirement when working of ladders years ago.

Doesn't make alot of sense our ex pat laws, pension frozen but apparently, they still get the winter fuel allowance whilst some at home don't. ???

I guess he will be entitled to a state pension from Canada when he hits retirement age.
