Call Streamline? That's what I'd do first.

Smoke from exchaust? Or smell of diesel from heater unit? If smoke, probably coked up and needs a service (same as some of the WC on here on a Monday morning) if smell of diesel, possibly a fuel leak somewhere. Run it past supplier on telephone tomorrow morning.

Check for a diesel leak. This will become obvious if you splash water under your van where your heater is. If you have got a diesel leak get your local  garage to fix it. I had this and my garage charged me £60 to fix it. Well worth it.

As for excessive smoke on start up and shut down cycle this is normal at cold temperatures. If it's like this on a warmer day then the burner and pin probably needs changing.

When I get mine serviced Oliver fits a new grating which eventually gets full of soot.

Always keep it running all day once it's fired up in the morning and only turn it off after last job of the day.👍
