Shortest day come and gone, Wayhay... Get your shorts out, dust down your shades, stock up on suncream, summers coming :)

Let’s just get through January first!

6 weeks before Christmas and 6 weeks after.
The toughest 12 weeks in my head.
Merry Christmas

Yeah January can be cold and long. Feb brings some sunny weather with more daylight hours. We’ll see.

I usually get a rest January but not now, folk want things done and not many folk want too oblige. I'm not sure what has happened, everyone seems to have money now. I think less and less are going to the pub so have more money to spend on other things. It reminds me of the 1970s when the pubs closed at 10pm.

I was on Arran in early 80's and couldn't get a drink on Sunday.

Not sure if it was the same in England/Wales? But in Scotland in the 80’s, on a Sunday pubs had to shut at 2:00 in the afternoon and re-open at 6:00. If you wanted to drink between these hours you had to go to a hotel.

Wow I forgot about that! 🤯😂

In UK it was shut at 2pm and reopen at 7pm.....on Arran it was shut all day......you could get a drink at the hotel but it was guests only and we weren't guests.

In reality it's not that bad....like you say its all in your head. We have a very easy job compared to a lot of other working people.
Personally I enjoy all the seasons whether it's the middle of summer or winter.

I prefer winter to summer.
Windows are cleaner. No slug trails, no dried on bird muck, no cobwebs or cocoons (if you've done your job properly in autumn, that is).
In winter if I'm cold I can put another layer on. In summer, since the injunction, I'm not allowed to take all my clothes off.

Maybe I should have written darkest.
The 6 weeks b4 are full of lights, tips and a happier attitude, 6 weeks after are heavy!
