I bought a new filter vessel and filtered the water into the container in the garage , this is about 4 metres from the outside tap, I tied to fill a 5 gallon water barrel but it only filled about 1/2 a barrel .
Is there any way to fill up the barrel other than filling it out closer to the tap? It is registering with just over 40psi with the filters and vessel close to the tap and was thinking of getting a plastic cabinet and putting the barrels inside it close to the tap.

I think you need a Booster Pump.

Not sure , as I put the bucket next to filter and vessel and the bucket was 3/4 full in a short time.
Might have been 10 minutes to 3/4 fill it and I’ve been out since about 10.30, came home about 10 minutes ago and bucket was ful and overflowing of water, the water pressure was over 40psi and flowing through the hose pretty quickly.
What is a booster you mention, got any pictures of them please?

I looked up water pressure and the result and my water pressure is perfect strength in filter water for reach and wash window cleaning. The average is between 30 and 70psi and mine is about 45 psi, so well more than minimum .

What filter are you using?

Am new to all this filtering ur own water, but what I have learnt from using different taps with different pressure is that a 4040 low pressure membrane wont produce any water at all really, u just get more waste if the pressure is below 50psi
I use a tap at 50psi about 8 metres hose to the van set up and I get about 100 litres an hour of pure
Similar tap not to far in the same site at 45 psi and 4 hours gave me a third of a 650L tank

Get an IBC tank if possible with a shut off valve. Turn it on and leave it. I've learned that it takes me 20 minutes to make 100L. I put a timer on just in case it over flows which it has done a few times.
