Just looked at my brush that I use regularly and noticed lots of gunk around the base of the bristles. How do you guys clean your brushes and how often?

Wait for it  to dry and rub your hand  over it and pull off anything that doesn’t come off , or brush with another brush from the stock to the ends of the bristles that will get it out , flocked brushes are harder to clean than mono ones .

I usually give something a clean like pvc side of shed with a weak solution of hypo. Dip the brush in a hypo bucket and scrub away and kill two birds with one stone. After that I stick it in a bucket of water then take a look to see how it comes up.
