Title: Accounting Software and Cleaner Planner
Post by: HCS on December 01, 2023, 10:15:10 am
Hello everyone,

I am currently using Cleaner Planner and GoCardless for my business and I am also Vat registered.
Is there any accounting software that any of you use that helps with this set up.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

As a non vat registered single operator, I use squeegee for round planning and payments and  quick books for year end accounting and tax return, both are superb.

Yep, accountant.

CP accountancy part of the software isn't great.  Every 3 months I export all transactions and my accountant uploads to Xero.

The worst part of CP is the quoting tab.

A spreadsheet is a simple method for accounts.  A simple P&L month per column, page per year.

Once set up with your formulas, your set for life......free.

No good for reporting vat nowadays (after mtd).

I use sage because I'm old, crabbit and stuck in my ways.

Believe that when it happens, it’s been delayed for how many years already?

Yea MTD is a complete cashgrab.  A waste of energy and a pointless added exercise added by a desk toffee.  Doubt it will ever happen.
