Title: 70 today and still at it

Well today  I have reached the milestone, 70 years old and still going strong.

I'm having the day off today as I have a meeting to attend but back to normal on Friday with 2 conservatory roofs  and a porch roof to clean, luckily they are not big ones so it won't take me too long.

Happy birthday mate.wishing you a healthy and long work life.

I know a window cleaner who's 79 (still on ladders too).he's in the pub too most days straight after work for a few pints and he s been going 61 years(he started when he was 18)🙂

He only started working when he turned 68 though.

Old boy around the corner from me retired 5 years ago but restarted after a couple years from boredom and struggling a little. He picked his favourites and restarted. He enjoys the chats and missed them. He just work a couple hours three days a week doing bungalows and it pays for his four foreign holidays a year, bless him, lovely chap.

I normally start work about 10 am and finish by 1-30 - 2pm, as for plans for the future ..... I think I still have a few more years left in me. LOL

Thanx for all the birthday wishes, so I went to work today to clean the 2 con roofs and 1 porch roof and was finished by 12-15 so a nice easy day and now the weekend off.

Fair play Jay, that’s good going!

My plasterer is 72, still going, but he is struggling with ceilings now.

He won’t stop as he knows as soon as he does his body will deteriorate quicker than if he keeps going. Granted he doesn’t do big jobs anymore.
