Just popped as I was scrubbing it(upstairs, double glazed UPVC window).....no one in so just told the neighbour to tell them I've owned up and ill pay to get it fixed....luckily the neighbour had a glaziers number(she's just had her blown glass replaced).....
Second cracked pane in 10 years of hot water cleaning.first one I've had to pay for though! ::)roll ;D
Oh well it was bound to happen again one day....

Does that mean you’ll have to cancel your holiday to pay for the glazier mate?

Doesn’t matter if it’s changed or not you broke it you pay for it,as long as he provides a genuine price-quote in my eyes that’s all that matters if he decides to keep the money and not get it replaced that’s up to him.
I’m only paying for it if you get it replaced lol if only life was like that eh.

As long as you have something in writing to say its settled.
When a lad who used to work for me decided to reverse into a parked car i paid her off rather than go through the insurance but i got her to sign a letter to confirm the payment was for full and final settlement and that no further action would be taken.

Yeah absolutely I agree but you as the person that has damaged property has no authority over whether or not they spend their damages on anything lol, just shows you how people think to even suggest otherwise.
