Good evening
I switched the pump on my system it's the 40 40 system from purefreedom with the big black pump
I switched the pump on and answered the phone didn't turn water on I have burnt the pump instead of spending £500 on a new pump
I have this pump below
https://www.anglianpumping.com/product/water-boosting-pumps/clarke-spe1200ss-230v-7237002
Would I be able to attach the pump to the ro system system and a garden tap
As I use the pump to transfer from tank to van
Iam on a meter Iam buying water from spotless but to be honest it's getting to convenient I need the pump going again

Which is damaged? The electric motor or the rotary vane pump?
TBH that transfer pump is exactly what it is; a transfer pump. Way back some used similar as booster pumps, but they aren't designed for an r/o system and in the end, have no idea how successfully they worked.
I have a similar but smaller Clarke pump using 1" transfer hose, and I can't say that there is a lot of pressure in the hose if I try to put my thumb on the end connector.

Well the good news is the pump works only up till 80 psi but Iam not bothered about that the TDs is 7
:-\. So after 3 months of debating weather to buy a ,new pump
All I had to do is plug the damm transfer pump in bit noisy but. Hey no more paying for water 💦.

???
Well I was wrong the transfer pump cracked underneath
However I got to through to purefreedom
After sending emails and no answer
Turns out all you have to do is disconnect the vain pump and spin the the rod with a pair of pliers aparantly they seize up when run dry
