;DOk - I love the univalve - had th aquatap before the univalve - none of which I have really had much of a problem with until now
recently brought 6 more, which duly arrived 3 of which are now fitted in poles - these are the all white/light grey offering - however in a very short space of time 2 have failed - I took one apart to find the front plunger had come adrift from the rest of the internals - it clipped back on and off we went - 4 days later the same thing - fixed it - 3 days stopped again. - emailed Steve via the web site and posted the univalve for him to look at - 2 weeks later no reply - no replacement - so I rang up,
treated in an off hand way - they indicated I had made it all up - thankfully the valve is useless so I haven't lost anything but to have 2 go wrong I wanted to give Steve a heads up in case there is a manufacturing issue
Be warned if you have a a white univalve it may failure in a very short time

Shame you had to invoke the power of Cleanitup. ;D

Exceed are pathetic, univalves now designed to fail, sky high prices, discontinuing products with no warning once you've built a multi van operation on certain products.
hopeless

I can agree with this. I bought a new one maybe about 4 months ago and its playing up already (one of the white/grey ones)
The previous ones have always lasted a year or 2.

I have had the white/grey one on my pole for a few months no problems yet.

There's a guy on ebay that sells service kits, something like 3 for £20. I bought 3 and now my old, rusty spring, stiff univalves all work like new again!!😎👌
I believe they are stainless springs too.

The guy has a web site https://www.rootek-designs.co.uk/ (https://www.rootek-designs.co.uk/) He also does hoseless (including new gardiners gooseneck) and rectus protectors. Great stuff, I have been using his hoseless for a good few months and it works very well.

I still got three of the original ones when they first came out and one new one I bought a few years and never got around to fitting it, might have to put them on ebay when I find them out

I use the Gardiner gooseneck valve but it was frozen when I started out this morning so a quick check through my box of bits located my original Univalve from the first batch still attached to an old gooseneck. Popped it on the pole and it worked perfect straight off the bat. Can't speak to the newer ones as I've never bought one but those original ones were pretty good.

yes older ones still going strong - just this white version -the plunger inside falls apart - requires more than a spring >:(
SB - of course yours is OK - you have to do work for it to wear out ;D ;D

I can vouch for that Smudger 👍 he's either at the burger van or parked up in a lay-by having a nap!
