I've decided to get rid of 3 domestic jobs today, all fairly well priced but requires me to use ladders to access their large glass roofs on the back of their properties....
I now have no jobs requiring me to use ladders or a squeegee either!(lost my last trad ground floor job last dec)...
I've notified the 3 customers,2 of them I've had for 10+ years.....
After what happened to a window cleaner last year(who I used to work for back in 1992) I won't be taking on any jobs that need ladders anymore....those days are over....

Why has it taken you so long to work out?

I think we all have exceptions to the rule like this.
I have one I use a step ladder for 1 velux window.
I have about half a dozen houses where I need to crack out my 47ft pole for some awkward windows over extensions or velux. The rest of my round I can do with 25ft or 18ft pole
Why don't I just bin these off ? ;D I just like to moan about them everytime instead .

These jobs are fairly well priced and next to other good jobs and I've just kept them on.....
I think we ve all been guilty of keeping some jobs on longer than we should and one of them is a friend of my brothers...
It's a great relief now that I'll never have to clean them again... ;D
Also with the new jobs I've already picked up this year I'm only £68 down over the course of the year now ive let them go with price rises across the board happening in April so alls good in the hood! ;) 8)

That's not getting ladders off a roof rack and having to physically climb them with your pole to clean large glass roofs though is it? ;D
I also have a few jobs where I use my 47footer but they are well priced and worth cleaning....otherwise what would be the point of having a high level pole? ;D
It's the ladders that are the risk for me not water fed poles

No i find step ladders enough of a hassle no way i would be getting anything off a roof rack.
I dont know the point of the pole really its an slx so is very heavy, i just kept adding extensions but its an absoloute pig to use.

I'd probably bin them if I had an slx at that height but I use an xtreme 47 so not so bad....
