Title: Does cold weather affect tds
Post by: tonyoliver on December 06, 2022, 10:51:11 am
Does anyone know whether the cold weather affects a tds reading ?  Or the resin is affected by temperature drops
The cold destroys poles they creak in this weather and sections snap  or break when it gets warmer  but does  the tds   Or the resin get affected also ?
Any ideas

No it doesn't - however the cold "dense" water is the same as warm water - if memory serves hot water may read higher as the particles are bouncing around in the water quicker.

water production is slower in the winter

I had the water freeze on patio windows this morning. A sure sign that customers have cut right back on heating.

I had a few connys that had water frozen solid on the glass before I started cleaning....soon thawed it out with my hot water... I even thawed out a customers windscreen for him first thing... 8)

I love using hot water in this weather 🔥....its like I'm steam cleaning the glass!

Just out of interest, what hot water system did you go for?
