Fed up with every brand I’ve ever tried always leaking, I’m going to give these a go. 🤷‍♂️

Keep us updated I used muck boots always looking to improve winter  footwear.

Last year I bought a pair of muck boots  they are the best I have used so far  but a little slippery on some surfaces and not the best for driving in.

They look like they are made of plastic you will probably sweat as much as you got wet with the others .

Well, it’s either them or wellies!
Took a look in Mole Valley Farmers yesterday. Some wellies were over £150! No wonder farmers have no money 😮

Last two winters I've been wearing Barbour rubber Chelsea  boots,(worth a look) there 100% waterproof I think they also look ok,only downside feet get a bit cold where tempature is low,so they need to be big enough so you can wear a pair of thick socks

I was actually just thinking about this today.

Ever since I started window cleaning even the most expensive boots would never last a year.

It’s just dauned on me that these Salomon hiking boots are about 18 months old and going strong.

Warm, dry and very comfortable.

Think I’ll stick with these for the next pair too.

Caterpillar waterproof boots in winter and leather trainers in summer.

The Caterpillar boots are great.proper boots with composite toe caps but will be too heavy for some

All the North Face Salmon berghaus are not the same these days 10-15 years ago they lasted a bit longer but even then not great, they are not supposed to be in constantly wet the above shoes although they say Gortex if you walk in wet grass daily  they’ll all make you’re feet wet in time.
That webbing they put on the above makes lol that’s gonna last oh yeah.

You chaps are spending far too much on footwear.
The best solution are short wellies( easy to get on and off) with sealskin waterproof socks.
You will say wellies make your feet sweat ( yes) but the sealskin socks wick the sweat away from your feet so feet stay dry and warm.
I have tried expensive footwear, all the big makes this beats them all.

Bought a pair of work boots today from Go Outdoors. £30. If they last 6 months, which they will, you can’t go wrong.

You lads are spending too much money on footwear you should be buying socks 🧦 at a similar price to shoes lol,you are gonna need more than 1 pair aren’t you probably 3-4 for winter.

I spent years buying cheap boots like that and always had wet cold feet. If you bought a quality pair you wouldn’t want to go back to the cheap ones trust me. They’re worth every penny imo

Ive always got at least 6 months out of a pair of work boots before they start to leak.

Been doing it for years.

No way I'm wearing wellies for window cleaning!😄...I'm not a farmer!🤣

Wellies are truly awful!make your feet stink and are uncomfortable.much better with a decent pair of work boots in winter IMO

I do wonder in which conditions some of you guys work. Is there really a need to wear heavy, cumbersome boots? I’ve never had a job yet that requires boots. Decent gore-tex walking shoes are more than adequate for this job.

Berghaus hillwalker usually last me 2 years before I wear out the sole and remain dry for that time
This time I’m trying the berghaus hillmaster 2 and they seem even more robust but time will tell. I think you need to spend 100 notes to get decent Goretex boots

About 3 years ago I bought some Skechers work trainers. They have a composite toe and are 'waterproof'.
I only bought them because I am fed up with summer trainers wearing out so quickly on the sole etc and I thought these would last longer (being 'work' trainers).
They are heavy, but lasted well and I continued through the winter having protected, warm, dry feet. Two years on and they are just starting to let water in from the top, so I am going to waterproof them. Failing that, I shall buy another pair.
Lovely thick sole too when standing on wet grass etc.

I've had cheap boots and expensive  boots and I've always got wet feet eventually.

Now I just have 2 pairs of boots and dry a pair out whilst wearing the other. I just buy cheap ones these days and usually end up buying  a couple of pairs a year. 200 quid boots don't last 5 x as long as 40 quid boots.

One other thing I like about them is the grip is the best I've had on any shoe or boot.
Hope they still sell them.

I also have waterproof sketchers.  so far so good.

I bought a pair of the muck boots after recommendation on here about 2 years ago, thinking I’d wear them when the weather gets below freezing. 2 years on the weather still hasn’t really got below freezing yet so they are still in the box.

I've been looking at them for knocking about in. I wouldn't wear them for work.
I usually go for cheap ones and keep replacing them. I usually have two pairs on the go, as well.

I don’t mean to offend you honestly that has got to be the worst advise for work shoes I’ve ever heard, they are terrible shoes for work like all the North Face and Berghaus these days they fall apart.

You obviously don’t work in rural areas to often then I would think because they wouldn’t keep you’re feet dry for 1 day.

All the North Face and those trainer type waterproof shoes are toilet and yes I’ve had a lot of them, save yourself a lot of wasted time and buy the Lowa ones.
The only other decent ones I’ve had are Timberland leather boots 🥾.

I have had my salomons for around 3.5 years , i have only just retired them this year as the sole is starting to come away now , bought some merrels to replace them this year , just because i could buy them straight off the shelf that day ..........regretting it already.

Ah yea I forgot to mention Merrels I’ve also had many pairs of them again they used to last longer, the last pair I had was the almost luminous orange and black they didn’t last a winter in long wet grass leaked within weeks.

If you want to waste money on buying those cheap shoes crack on my man you go and waste another 120 notes on rubbish, spend an extra 50 or 60 and keep your feet dry.
Bit like hot water how many people are sitting at home losing 100s this morning I can think of a few, half a days work getting the cold flowing again let alone working.

Well, pretty good considering they are basically a posh welly. Comfortable, roomy and fit very similar to my hiking boots. Laces are a bit cheap I suppose, I might add sheepskin insoles.
Very impressed so far and 100% waterproof.
And I can drive in them.

You can keep your Lowa Toilet boots.

tried the lowa boots as suggested by the leading expert and they are no different to any other boots of the same range

i normally have a pair for work and a pair for walking in and they normally last about 12-18months before the bottom wears out,and it doesnt matter if you have the heavier bottom or soft bottoms, they do how ever stay very well waterproof

Bough a pair of these after my Englebert Strauss boots didn't keep the water out. Cost £150 too.

These new ones are great. Completely waterproof and very comfortable, now wearing in needed.

Only slight downside is the sole could be a bit grippier if your doing ladder and going on flat roofs.

Would highly recommend.
