Yes I do hate the
“Will you be back before Xmas” chat

When you politely say no unlikely
You get a merry Christmas 🎅 and sweet F.A
Else 🤣😂

As said above any work done in the remainder of November won’t be done until after Xmas hols,

As a one man band with a bit too much work who doesn’t work in pouring rain
That’s the way it is

I worked Saturday 3hrs
And 2hrs Sunday

Gutter vacuum 🍂🍂

Last Tuesday was a day off heavy rain
See and paid accountant 🥲🤣

Day off today heavy rain ☔️ got van serviced
Picking up soon more ££ 😆

£5 Xmas tips so far
Another £500 would do

Think it will be a low one this year🤔

Hope for the best and plan for the worst 👍

A distinct and definite line regards tips was drawn in the sand at two different times in my businesses development.

The first was when I went over to WFP.

The second was when I stopped collecting.

I have to say that due to the current economic climate I feel a little awkward accepting tips this year knowing that in some cases I am probably better off than the customer giving me it. I will be refusing a few when I see fit and will tell them to put the money to better use.

I usually do but all year round.

Fair enough but you'll be giving cards to customers that don't give you one. I thought your reasoning was to give them a gentle nudge to tip you. I know it's not rattling a tin in front of them but I couldn't do it.
I apologise if I'm being too cynical, Daz.

Currently on £421 but it's better than nothing considering the pressure on people's finances..... :)

Surprised you get so little tbh Daz. You have roughly 3x the domestic customers that I have yet you only get £100 more in tips. My average tip per customer ratio is far higher than yours. I don’t butter them up with begging letters Christmas cards either.  ;D

Your customers must pity you much more than mine.....🤣🤣

I hope so, it means the act I put on is working  ;D ;D

Some never tip
Some always tip
Some keep you talking rubbish every visit and then are nowhere to be seen December. They’re  generally also the houses that ‘tacky’ up  with obstacles  ;D
Merry Christmas

Have you noticed some of the customers who keep you talking even do it when it's raining while their in their doorway dry and your getting soaked listening to their small talk! ::)roll ;D

Strange isn’t it. The customer that comes out for a chat every month just discreetly pays online with no tip. Then the miserable cow at number 54, who goes upstairs every time you arrive to clean the windows to avoid any eye contact, leaves a box of celebrations out with a Christmas card and £15 tip. Weird.
