Title: chemicals
Post by: Steve H on November 02, 2022, 08:53:49 pm
Hi all,
I know we dont need a licence to use basic cleaning products for windows, pvc cleaning etc. But do we need a licence if using hypo (driveways etc) or a biocide for roofs/softwashing! This came up the other day when my neighbours gardener asked me the question. He said he would need a licence to use weed killer on a commercial basis and so he doesn't do much in the way of spraying chemicals,  just wondered what anyone else thought?
There are courses out there but do we need to go on one, do we need a licence?
Thanks in advance
Steve

He is correct you need a licence to weed kill

However Hypo is not an insectorside or (official) weedkiller - therefore no licence required

the weedkiller licence is the reason why I don't promote weed killing when pressure washing - only weed removal

Thanks Darran, much appreciated.
Im assuming the same applies for a biocide then? no licence as such if using it as a softwash?
cheers
