I think my membranes need changing.
Tap water 95ppm
Water flowing from RO and just the membranes(no carbon filter) 21ppm
Water flowing from RO,Di with carbon filter 11ppm.
Any thoughts please.

Yes 21 from 95 is pretty rubbish - have you got a booster pump? - when I had the Merlin I boosted pressure to 80 PSI and was getting 010 from 320 Tap water
other than that your di resin is shot as well

Hi, no booster pump, resin and carbon filter changed 29/6/22,membranes are 3years old. I've ordered the 750 membranes this time, purchased 3 carbon filters from streamline filterplus and found them to out perform(didn't have to change them for a year compared with changing the genuine filters 6weeks to a couple of months if I was lucky) thanks for advice 👍

Mine gives about 6-8 from about 300 when the membranes are new. After about 6 months about 10-12.
After a year usually about 15.
Pressure is about 65psi.
It also varies a bit depending on where Bristol is drawing its water from. The input can be as high as 350 or as low as 250. That feeds proportionally into the output.

How do you know when to change your carbon filters?

I change filter when the ppm starts going up

Membranes came this afternoon so changed them and the psi is 60 and coming out the RO at 000ppm, should I still run the pure water through the DI

your choice - I no longer use di resin - I get 006/008 - out of the RO

So do you use the di once it gone passed 10ppm or do you get away with cleaning the glass with 15ppm? I cleaned the glass once at 15ppm and it left no water marks!!

My di is is a small 1 litre chamber that the RO water goes through before the static tanks.
I keep it in place just because it is there but if the RO is giving 10 or less than I let it run straight through the resin and use it. When the final product goes above 10 I let it run until the tank is full.
As long as the total water in my three statics is at 10 or below I am happy. And I feed another window cleaner.
If it is at 10ppm or less, whether through resin or not I don't worry. If by chance it were 12-15 I would not make a habit of it but I would use that tankful and then replace the resin.
