Read Auravelling79 great question 👍
I’ve used SLX 25 for a good few years now
Need a new one
Noticed Smudger’s post using Ova poles
Read speel on ova pole on winters site
Here:
OVA-8 carbon fibre telescopic poles are designed in an ‘oval’ profile section, reducing the wear of the sections from the pole clamps.
Any converts from slx to ova poles?
What made you change?
And Gardiner brushes and univalve work on ova poles?
Thanks Lee

yes you can put a gardeners brush on an ova8 pole
section 1 is shorter so the univalve sits nicely inside the pole at the base of section 1 - however it's tricky to set up for a tubeless system.
clamps can get a little wear on them over a long time and need the screws tightening up (this is the outside body of the clamp not the camping part itself - and of course no spin ever.

Gardiner brushes can be used on them I’ve stuck one on mine I’ve also installed a Uni valve but it’s tricky compared to a Gardiner pole,if you get one make sure you get a few of those brush stock females so you can interchange a few brushes without having to undo screws everytime you want to change a brush.
The only thing I’ve found with the Ova is that even when the sections wear they don’t slide shut on there own by just releasing the clamp, you have to physically slide the section away each time.
The Extreme Gardiner pole is way ahead in terms of weight and the way it closes its sections effortlessly.

I had a look at the evo8 poles felt a bit on the heavy side
