That moment when you fit new hose and suddenly realise just how much the old one stretched in the past couple of years...

Is that with cold water ?? I know hot  will cause it to stretch , but didn’t realise cold would do it to that extent just a thought is your dead end set to high ? Causing to much pressure in the hose

It's reinforced pole hose with cold water - 2, possibly 3 years of abuse, regularly left pressured overnight.
