Title: Pentair Prf Ro
Post by: Granny on May 22, 2022, 08:13:29 am
Hi all recently I've noticed after using it and shutting off the water supply, it continues to dribble water there seems to be a lot of pressure built up in the unit, enough to fill a bucket overnight.
I think the auto shut off is not working fully as it should.
Anyone know if they can be repaired or what could be wrong?

I have a Pentair - I am unaware of an auto shut off. I have a tap and pressure gauge before the unit and a pair of John guest taps after in the pure out put. If I close off the pure output completely and leave the feed tap open it shuts off.

However I usually just turn off the tap feeding the unit.

Where does your bucket full of water leak from?

Hi thanks

Alex Gardiner 13:28 minutes in.
I have an float valve in the van, when it kicks in it builds up a lot of pressure in the RO, even with brand new Recuts fittings It still leaks from the tank input connector once the float valve in the van stops the flow. I have to keep an eye on it when I should be able to leave it and forget.
This makes me think the RO auto shut off is not fully shutting the flow to the van off once it detects the flow has been stopped.
I put the end of the filling hose in an empty bucket when I've finished filling up and it can fill up overnight as it leaks out even though the water supply to the RO is off!
