Hi folks just looking to see if there is any better ways to have to reels inside the van as you can see in the picture I have mine set into these plastic clamps
Two problems after a while the clamps dont hold as securely so need replacing but then constantly replacing them then the screws don’t hold to the van floor as well
Could I see any pictures of others ways anybody secures theirs in the van but to also be able to lift them out when needed
It would also be great to find a way of securing them without having the clamps on the floor so that then the floor is still flat as I use the back of the van for other things at the weekend and they always catch on everything
Any ideas appreciated

2 lengths of 4x2 and a large sheet of ply board obviously don’t use MDF it’ll crumble and disintegrate, fix the reel to that that’s what I did when I used a manual reel ideally it wants to be at least waist height.

Mounted to a piece of ply as suggested.

Mine is fixed on an easy removal lift off swivel plate which is bolted through the floor pan.

I have mine free standing, i just have a bungee wrapped round the top bar and hooked onto the side. Never fell over, stays put when i reel out etc. Never had a problem with it.

Purchased a pure freedom one. Previous one was an ionics hosereel mounted on a VW transporter swivel plate they use for converting campers with swivel seats and mounted it through the floor.

If you look on Ebay at "lazy Susan swivel plates" you'll see options of how you can mount a reel on a swivel.
