Title: For anyone with a chain driven HD electric reel.
Post by: NWH on March 09, 2022, 10:33:47 pm
May seem obvious but it hasn’t been for me for years now,the other day I realised that when all 8 bolts on the front plate are done up extra tight it stops the chain coming and it runs with no jerking at all, just a quick tip if you’re chain keeps coming off or it sounds like it’s going to snap on the first rotation.

No m8 I’ve had mine longer and mine didn’t in that time either, when you push the button if you hear a clonk like the chain is slack do the bolts up it’ll tighten them again it’ll save you breaking the chain.
