Hi Daz, I’ve been searching back through old posts but have given up looking. Can you add pictures of your van with the setup in the back as thinking of looking at one of these vans later today? Does it drive ok with 500l in the back? Engine pulls ok with the weight? Thanks

Yep it's great....I have a 500l tank,diesel heater,pf reel and me.....
Don't forget it's only the connect L2 240 that has the 936kg payload
Pulls well even though I'm 120kg! ;D

Cheers Daz, looks like a perfect little setup for one person and I do like the lwb connects so worth a look a reckon.

That’s a bit naff, but the connect is the poor man’s transit…
The transit custom is the one, I’ve got two heated seats and all the gubbins you could wish for.
Only joking Daz, I had a connect, loved it, only upgraded to a custom as I need the extra room for pressure washer/softwash gear. Having said that, defo prefer a bigger van now, comes in handy for tip runs, picking up furniture etc. also like the higher driving position of the bigger vans.
A connect is great for a windows only business though.

I think Ford have some kind of patent on it?

My 2018 VW caddy has it along with the Mrs. 2015 cooper s
The only thing exclusive to Ford is poor MPG

I agree, a small van just isnt usefull for much. A bigger van you can go to tip, gets bikes in, fishing gear, sling stuff on a roof rack, pick up crap off ebay etc.

My van is just used for work, that's it..
I couldn't go to the tip in my van anyway as they don't let you(cars only)...they have overhead barriers up so most larger vans won't fit under esp if you have a roof rack fitted...
I use my car for tip runs and lugging drums around....👍
I'd never go fishing.....just not my thing Adam... ;D
