Title: Selling On
Post by: Mark Dee on January 18, 2022, 06:45:27 pm
Couple of questions;

Which add on do your customers ask for which you least enjoy doing or flatly refuse to do?

If you sold the lead on what figure or percentage would be a fair figure?

What concerns would you have about selling on the work?

Thanks in advance

I no longer do any fsg cleans, or gutter clears, on houses; my shoulders aren't up to it, so I have to be careful.

However, I am happy to do bungalows.

Any work I get, (and I do get quite a bit) I give to my mates (fellow window cleaners) one also specialises in fsg and gutter clearing, the other does roof cleaning as well.

I don't charge a percentage, I just give it to them for free. They make sure my customer is looked after and every now and again, they take me out for a slap up meal...and drinks...and taxi!

If I were going to charge, then perhaps 10% - 15% finders fee sounds reasonable.  I wouldn't charge though, we just all do each other favours.

As long as my customers are looked after properly, i'm happy. That's my concern.

I can't even be bothered to pass it on I just say no.

Just don't have time and always regret it when the old shoulders are burning.

I only do the ones I wont resent doing.
today I gave an over inflated price , and explained I may be more expensive than most, and then gave them 2 numbers of some other guys I pass work on to.

however , I will do render cleans , easy work, and pays almost double of what I get for window cleaning.

Thanks for the opinions, although only a small sample, the information is most useful.

If the money isnt important would 20 mins with a one legged hooker sway it?   :)
