Hello everyone
Hope your all well 🎄👍
People are strange 🤔
Cleaned a regular monthly customer today
Wife is late 60s came out of house told me husband’s away USA on business .
Translate as, you’ll have to wait for payment!
Just said “ok will leave bill and Chris can transfer payment”
Wife never pays
As she was walking off she says “you look terrible “
Me “oh !”
Her “yes really awful “
😳😁
Some real t1ts about
She is hard work and ruffled my feathers before
She’s curt to say the least
Am I getting sensitive in my old age?🧐
Felt like saying “I still look better than you”
Looks like a Rottweiler with a wig 🤭
Stay alert 🚨😷😷😷
Thanks Lee

Daz reckons he's been looking rough lately because of late nights. Has he been knocking your custom off on the sly?

The onset of dementia could be a distinct possibility. Dementia and mood swings are par for the course. Just don't take things personally is my advice because we just don't know what's going on or gone on behind closed doors.
We had a customer who hated all men, period. She was married to a farmer and worked on the farm for most of her life. He then traded her in for a younger model and kicked her out. She also had health issues and was in a lot of pain. TBH she wasn't the nicest of people, but her current pain levels and regular long hospital stays could well have contributed to her attitude.
I often told her that she needed to treat us men folk better. If she didn't, she would never find a new husband. That was an easy button to press. ;D
She eventually sold her house and moved into a council bungalow as she couldn't climb stairs. Needless to say, she didn't ask me to continue to clean her windows. (I'm not sure how she managed to qualify for a council bungalow when she already owned a small house, but that's probably another story.)
She tolerated me, but didn't like my son. He wouldn't engage with her and just ignored her. At one time, he just walked away when she started to moan at him. She told me how rude he was. When ever she started at me, I would just tell her that it wasn't good to talk to someone you love like that. ;D
However, a couple of years later she saw me around the back of a property I was cleaning in the high street. She actually recognized me (I didn't see her) and came over to chat to me and ask me how I was. She seemed a lot happier within herself, maybe because she got a nicer window cleaner, who knows?

Lee don't let it bother you,she is just a hormonal woman, next time you see her she will be flying around on a broom with my wife in tow

Reminds me of The Germans episode of Fawlty Towers.
Miss Gatsby and Miss Tibbs : "we don't think you look well, Mr Fawlty"
Fawlty : "oh well, perhaps not, but at least I'll live longer than you".
Maybe not verbatim, but it's been a couple of months since my last watch of it.

Thanks Spruce 😊
😁 thanks Colin
Perhaps I’m turning into a hormonal woman
Just been 50 this year 😁
Marky mark not seen fawlty towers in awhile 😁

I think iPlayer has it for now. It was my go-to watch to cheer myself up through my teenage angst years. And 20s. And 30s. And 40s. Pretty much know each episode by heart, so much so I'm not allowed to watch it in company any more ::)roll
Occasionally mutter "I wish you were a mouse" at (in)appropriate moments.

I get people being rude,it's nothing to do with them being ill or what goes on behind closed doors.
They are just rude people.

You can't do a Bank transfer from USA then :)

Agree. I dont tolerate rude people.
I have had a few customers over the years where the lady comes across as rude as in they wouldnt smile, and would hardly engage.
then one day they would come out all smiling and chatty. ..... their husband / partner had left, and they were horrible abusive and controling

I would of said "Yes I do, it's the stress of getting paid!....
And then once you've been paid....a little text message saying
'Dear Customer, I took 'on board' your comments about me looking awful, and due to a health condition, unfortunately I won't be cleaning your windows anymore.
Regards

Worst one I had was a customer saying to me "have you got your grandson with you today". I was 45 and he was 6.

Me to a customer: "congratulations on your pregnancy."
"I'm not pregnant!"
Woops.
There is no coming back from that.

I had one on a quote, I said 'when is it due' she said it was delivered 2 days ago!!! Oops, still got the job though :D

If you don't need her as a customer, I would bin her off and replace her.
I did it to one of my customers last week and I felt great afterwards
