If you're a window cleaner working in Scotland, I'd like to invite you to check out www.slwcn.co.uk This is the Scottish Licensed Window Cleaners Network and the title says it all really.
With very few exceptions, all window-cleaners working in Scotland must be licensed with the appropriate Local Authority. You must be able to supply proof that you are a holder of a valid current licence, and this will be requested in due course.
It's not in opposition to any window cleaner's boards, you could call it a focus group if you like. If you'd prefer your licensing authority to do more for you than just demanding fees and doing nothing in return, this might be the place for you.
Hope to see you there soon.
Don't worry, I cleared this with Mike Boxall - a few days before the recent topic on Scottish Licensing was started, strangely enough!

Davie,
Do you know if Perthshire is licensed, cannot see it on the council website.
Reason being I know a guy in that area who was threatened physically
for going in their area. This I know is against the rules.
Cheers
Doug

Yep
Perth + Kinross Council - £80 for 1 Year. £125 for 3 Years. I'd sign up for three years - what a bargain!
I'd say there's an excellent chance that the guys threatening weren't licensed.
Tam tried to get you on your mobile but it was off earlier.

Cheers,
Ah was that the 01461 number, tried it but constantly engaged so gather he was
on the computer. Was out this evening, can ring us later or tomorrow.
These guys have a lot of work in one town so yes guess they are not licensed.
Thanks
Doug
