What are we wearing this season, girls?  ;D

What lasts? What fits? What do you recommend?

I've just ordered a pair of waterproof caterpillar excavator boots from amazon(£114)....

My last pair(same boots)lasted over 2 and a half years before letting in water....Best boots I've ever had for work malc....👍

Do they last long?

I gave up years ago finding a boot that lasts, even the high end goretex boots don’t in my experience.

I wear these, buy 2 or 3 pairs at the same time and usually get 4-6 months out of them, depending the season.

thats very poor Daz - after all you only do 3 days a week and only 4 hours a day - so in the real world they are only good for about 8 months  ;D ;D ;D ;D

High end walking boots aren’t designed for work. Imagine wearing a pair of £200 walking boots to work!! I would just buy a brand called Amblers. About £40 from eBay and last all year easy. Even when they start to leak, it’s minimal.

These are my go-to footwear.

Bought a pair earlier today from Go Outdoors, £50.00.

My thoughts exactly. If I get 4 months out of a £40 pair I’m happy, rinse and repeat.

I always wear trainers, I prefer light footwear.

Currently sketches ‘water proof’ trainers, but to be honest, I pick and choose trainers and wear whatever looks/feels right after the old pair wear out.

I’d prefer trainers if they were waterproof.

I prefer wearing decent GTX walking shoes, I find them comfier than boots and a lot easier to slip on and off.

Careful with Skechers. I had plantar fasciitis which I believe came from wearing them. They are hugely comfortable though.

Spotlight on.

How do you think Skechers gave you PF? Is there a particular shape to them? Was it one foot or both? And are you on your feet as much as a typical owner operator would be?

Turns spotlamp off.

Actually they were every day shoes. They have no real arch support because they are so soft. Could have been coincidence but much as I’d like to, I wouldn’t buy another pair.
