Title: Brushes for vehicles
Post by: Mike Burd on November 12, 2021, 09:46:05 am
Is there a brush I could fit to a Gardiner pole that would be harmless to paintwork?

The Vikan Oval was originally designed for vehicle cleaning.

We have one we use on the end of an Unger pole with an Unger screw fitting.

No, even the ones designed for vehicles will swirl the paint work. Just depends how precious you are about them, be no worse than going through the automatic car wash,

You can't see the swirl marks on a white van so I use a flocked xline brush....

I also use it on my leased black golf....its covered in swirl marks and its only 8 months old....im not bothered though as it'll be going back to the leasing company after 3 years...😄

I take pride in my vehicles, whether that be a van or car, so no brushes or car washes for me. In fact when either my or my wife’s car is at the local dealership for a service etc and they offer a free wash, I politely decline the offer.

The bottom line is all brushes will scratch vehicle paintwork evan ones that are made for vehicle washing .

I reckon our jet wash would rip the panels off.  ;D

How come you have a pubic one?

So do I....people often comment on how clean my van is!🙂

I just use my normal brushes on the van. I wouldn't use them on a vehicle I cared about though. It's probably unlikely to cause visible swirls on white paint anyway unless you are really anal. But if its a work van who cares they get battered anyway.
