Title: Soap National and email addresses

Just a warning.

I used Soap National some time ago and, as is my way, gave them a unique email address to contact me.

I'm now receiving regular spam from all and sundry on that email address, so they have either had a data leak or have sold on details. I contacted Dave at Soap National some time ago to ask why I was receiving spam on an email address I only gave to them but I've not had a response.

Beware. If you deal with them, use an email you don't care about or that you can easily filter.

Was it Soap National that had a data leak some years ago which resulted in a load of peoples card details being sold on and money going missing from accounts?

Exactly the same happened to me with HMRC .GOV website!

I’ve found them incredibly helpful.
Hope they don’t get hit by gdpr.
