How dee doo dee, been in business 10 years and have cleaned many a conservatory roof both inside and out. I have always used pole system on outside and more recently a little soft washing. Inside I hate being asked, I reluctantly say yes and charge enough to make it bearable. A combination of squeegee and applicator if tiles floor and ladder and clothes if carpet etc. I have now been asked to do a massive interior glass clean. Has anyone got any better ideas of tried out any of the interior glass cleaning systems. I have seen them advertised but have never used one. Before I purchase one, any thoughts based on experience would be most welcome. Jack

Just say no.
If you can't say no a Karcher with spare batteries.
-
The best way to do them is with a wagtail if the glass inside has 6-7” beams it’s perfect, best done with a step ladder 🪜 or on a pole does a great job if you’re good with a blade.
-
After 10 years in business you deserve the right to say No to jobs you dislike now surely.
I only clean windows wfp and nothing else as mortgage paid and no debts for anything. Don't need every new job going so lucky I can pick and choose better work which suits me. Days of doing awkward jobs are over thank goodness.
-
We squeegee them regardless of size it’s the only way to get good results the dragonfly type of things give poor results and you cannot clean the rails without getting up there , we have a minimum price of£450 so we don’t do hundreds of them but the ones we do do are viable usually do inside on an average one takes a morning doing glass, rails, openers and sills .
-
yep dragonfly etc... long and painful
squeegee and blade are good
however
we also use Karcher ;D - much, much quicker and good results ;)
but not an option for the purists

Spot on. But it’s not luck; you’ve earned the right to pick & choose imo.

How do you manage to clean inside the openers and do the plastic roof rails with a dragonfly????
-
Depends on what pads you use but in essence I agree with you they are not really up to the job
Mop and blade - sorry my bad for putting squeegee and blade earlier - preferred method with fish scale microfibers over the framework
Or the karcher

Just say no. Even doubling/tripling the price you’ll get the odd one. Just a straight no from me these days.
-
I do the odd roof inside. With a little giant ladder and a Karcher they can be cleaned Surprisingly quickly and easily
-
If you need/want more work go ahead....I'd use a mop and blade and an unger optiloc pole (with fixi clamp for detailing)....
However once you start doing these types of jobs they'll ask you again in the future...your making a rod for your own back....
-
No mate - your getting well paid - time and time again ;D

I always try to get out of them as it will always be me that does it.
We do a couple of interior glass roofs, which are bearable because I charge well for them.
I use a Zarges ladder which is the perfect ladder to form into steps. I tell the customer to make sure no furniture or anything is in the way.
I use a mop and a karcher window vac - best thing ever for those. And then just spray and microfibre over the glass after each section done.
But, do make sure to charge well on them!
-
I bought a karcher for doing them. It works well
-
Do you change the squeegee rubber on the Karcher for your fav type or does it have to be Karcher rubber? Also are you using an applicator with fairy or pure?

Be best that you ignore my posts rather than be childish. I'm going to ignore yours. There's nothing wrong with asking questions with the intent of being a better window cleaner and running a better business. I've been doing this for 8 years with 5 years completely out of it because of sickness so I will ask guidance from others that have been in business for 20+ years versus my 3. Obviously you haven't got over me calling out your BS on the 10 houses per hour.

You’ve changed your tune, the other day you said you were looking forward to my future posts!
You need to lighten up a bit, by this 🤐😁 all I meant was, I’m better saying nothing.
Yes I’m really upset that you called me out for BS on the 10 houses per hour, in fact I was so upset that the following day I did 19 retirement flats in 70 mins , oh I like it when I’m upset, it brings out the best in me😉

I'm genuinely trying to learn off everyone on here. I just didn't beleive his 10 house claim which you kind of backed up by saying you would do between 5 and 7. He then just starts been childish by rolling eye emoji etc. Im open to other peoples opinions but there's no need to belittle someone even if their question or comment may appear stupid to you. If he has something constructive to say, i'll happily listen.

The heat is often the worst thing.
Mop and squeegee with scaffold tower as needed.

Where is the rolling eyes emoji? Where exactly did I belittle you? At the end of the day you have made a personal attack on me by insinuating that I am full of BS haven’t you? Backed up by a moderator I may add!

Ok the zipped face emoji, same thing really. This isn't going anywhere, lets just agree to disagree and move on.
