Yeah window blinds who’s that overweight bloke in that window squinting back at you 🤣🤣🤣🤣😘

From the inside, or am I missing something?
-
Funnily enough its another Nigel - the caretaker 8)
Jim- interesting - one side opens a max of 3 inches (another safety feature) - the other doesn't open - so not sure how I get to half of it?

I had the same problem with an massive estate agents head office, huge building and one side had these giant sun shades.
I said they can’t be done ;D
-
I clean a college every year that has these on one of the buildings, not much you can do, just skip the glass that’s inaccessible.
-
I said we will wash the louvers but cant say how clean the glass will be - just seems a strange set up having glass window then covering it over like that

Is that fixed that side can’t it be cleaned from inside.
-
You have the large pane uncovered and fixed then the Lou Reed side one half opens the other fixed - no one knows if this was the original intension - apparently they are there to stop children falling out the open window which is restricted to 3” opening anyway
Worse is right above these are “condensation holes” which currently dribble out loads of limescale

We have started getting a few buildings like this down our way ,one is a vw show room and you cannot get the the glass but when inside the building the outside looks terrible, I turned the job down just not worth the hassle,in the end the garage hired a scaffold tower and got one of there car cleaners to pressure wash through the slats it now looks evan worse 😂😂😂😂😂

I thought that legally they have to have a release to open fully?
-
I don't know - we have another school with 70's metal frames and the openers are siliconed and screwed shut :-X

You might lose them to the car cleaner.

Ask for the architects details and ask them how to clean them.
Short story.... 7 years ago i went out for drinks with my the gf, her friend from work and her fella. When it came round to what i did he jumped for joy. He marched us all back to his house and told me he had a problem.
The problem was he lived 4 ft away from a river with a public footpath that ran between his house and the river. His window cleaner wouldnt clean his balcony windows that were set 8ft into the house creating a patio area. He wanted me to tell him how they could be cleaned.
I told him to go see the idiot who designed the house as they were clearly incompetent when considering general maintenance access on the property and he should sue them.
Didnt go down well... he was the head architect of the estate and it was his baby... never saw them again

Only if it’s considered a fire exit .
