Have you ever come across a problem cleaning windows recently painted where the paint is dry for a few days.
Just had a customer painter advised not to clean the windows for six weeks!
Never had a problem in nearly 30 years myself, in fact done a few builders cleans removing paint the next week.

Have they had new putty applied at all ?

The majority of paint these days is water based they can give 3 coats in a day in the warmer months, putty has linseed oil in it and takes a long time to go hard but I’d say that’s rubbish about the paint.

No putty wood beading.
Just annoyed me. Just being delicate 😊
Agree it’s the customers windows. I resisted from passive aggressive response of “let’s hope it doesn’t rain”
Many paints full cure can be a month. That’s a technical level. Each painter takes pride in his work as well.

Where I am wooden frames are the norm and I will not clean any freshly painted frames for 6 weeks minium. I have no 'tech' reasons for 6 weeks but just something that has worked and never had any comebacks.

Painter takes pride in his work utter tosh works done well when they have to clean the excess paint off .....
