Less likelihood of developing RSI
This will show you why this squeegee handle is un- ergonomic.
And the simple fix.

Why do you have to constantly keep bombarding us with theses videos I haven’t watched it and have no intention of watching it but am very confidant it will be like your normal poor quality and cobbled together stuff , if Australians want to see this stuff then fine but please can you stop posting this utter drivel on hear we are years ahead of all the supposed new inventions and modifications you keep coming up with . You just dont seam to get that 99% of us arnt interested in this and with each post any credibility you had is severely diminished.

I wish you would stop trying to promote your own videos , are you getting payed for views or something??? I have no intention of watching it we don’t do much trad and for the stuff we do do we don’t have any problems with the kit we use it’s fine

OK don't worry then toddle off and do your thing .
And since you already have no problems you don't need to see these videos.
But as I said before there are many other people that have problems that may help and this is for them.
If you do like it don't watch it's simple.
Instead of just whining about something you have not even seen.

Any medical evidence of your claim?

Any medical evidence of your claim?
In which way??

Could you please show me the clinical trials undertaken for easing this medical condition and your qualifications for promoting this devise, because if I do this and end up with a serious wrist injury I will need your details to pass onto my solicitor

No unfortunately your the one who has no idea.
If you do this to your handle you find it will work much differently.
Once you do this you will have less likelihood of getting RSI ,trigger finger ,numb finger tips, sore wrist, forearms.

Dazza s got a bad wrist but not from window cleaning 🤣🤣

you need to back it up with some scientific fact - please do so - im waiting

Is there anyone in the window cleaning industry that can back any of this sort of thing up legally,Moreman say there squeegees mean no detailing also well I can tell you that’s not true used correctly or not.

Moerman don't have to back any thing up legally.
In case you are wondering they call that marketing'
That seemed of sucked a fair few people in LOL.
The only difference here is your not paying to try it.
5 minute job anyone can do then you can try to if it's any good.
If not you may of spent 50 p.
But better if you had got a Moerman for 10 quid maybe more.
So it's up to anyone that want to try it they can.

You are wasting your breath Darren the guy is an utter joke and best ignored
-
Maybe so - he has tunnel vision as well carpel ;D
Just like in the past you just can't wrap a bit of fabric around a handle or stick a gardiners quick loc in the end of a squeegee handle and claim to cure rsi
And at the same time say under, ettore, etc are producing dangerous handles
Darran
-
Put him on ignore they’ll be about 3-4 people left talking on here soon 👌
-
Here we go again whining is that all you can do.?? ::)roll
The fact is in the video we already explained why we did mod on handle.
And then show how we did it.
So the people that want to try it just watch the video.
Try it for yourself.

Winding a bit of tape around a handle is hardly going to stop an RSI injury , it might make it a bit more comfortable to hold and increase the handle diameter by a couple of mm but that’s it .

As I said watch the whole video right through.
It's what we do before winding a bit of tape around a handle.
That makes it easier to use.

He really doesn't.

then he shouldn't claim to stop RSI
personally not bothered either way, I just like to give Herman some challenges to counter his wild claims - anyone who's inventing or improving stuff should be quite open to comments and easily be able to explain why its better than a moulded and shaped handle - but all he does ignore any questions and continually repeats the same old dross - he has deaf ears
and even worse most of his stuff is over 7 years old - so not even cutting edge even for Herman th master of 19th century bodge ups

H MAN , I have never replied to any of your posts as yet, so this is a first.
I have noticed that the majority of your topics are about adapting and modifying trad window cleaning tools?
WHY? do you not think that the makers of the said tools have it off to a T having sold them for many years?
When I first started in the 70's I was a trad window cleaner (no WFP them days) and the equipment sold them days is virtually the same as today and works fine, now days of course I'm WFP but can still turn my hand to trad if needed and I do still carry a applicator, squeegee, bucket and scrims in my van, you never know when you may need them.
Suffice to say that the trad gear I have is many years old and still works fine (the way it was designed for) so why would I want to change or adapt it when it does the job?
There's an old saying that springs to mind ........ "If it ain't busted, don't fix it"

Herman, unfortunately you are not qualified to make that statement, this is just YOUR opinion!
You are neither a doctor or a medical specialist.
You could say that it has helped you with your problem, or it feels more comfortable to use, or it works better for you.
I think you need to consider more about how you 'word' things.
-
My point entirely - but you made it better than I did ;D
Darran
-
Darran, I think you made your point very well, it just wasn't understood by Herman.
-
Would you like to have more detail information
Why??.
So how would doctor or a medical specialist.
Know how to use a squeegee.
Because that is the only way you would know where the problem is.

Would you like me to explain in detail the way I see it.
And even a Doctor will understand.

THIS IS HOW WE SEE IT
So over the past 20 years developing a window squeegee that is easier to use in the hand.
Looking at why people have been developing RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury)
Common RSI Symptoms
Symptoms of RSI or an overuse injury can be any of the following:
1/ It is burning, aching or shooting pain.
2/ Tremors, clumsiness and numbness.
3/ Fatigue or a lack of strength.
2/ Tremors, clumsiness and numbness.. It is often difficult to perform even simple tasks.
5/ The first signs of RSI may be soreness, tingling or discomfort in the neck, arms, wrists, fingers or shoulders.
5/ The first signs of RSI may be soreness, tingling or discomfort in the neck, arms, wrists, fingers or shoulders.
Symptoms may disappear when you stop the aggravating activity. It may take only a few hours for the symptoms to settle or take as long as a couple of days.
Unfortunately, over time a minor RSI can turn into a nasty chronic injury.
Extra stress in your work or taking fewer breaks can make your symptoms much more severe and long term.
What Causes RSI?
Many factors can cause RSI. They include:
Repeated arm use for too long
(Working with equipment that doesn’t fit your body)
Working too fast
You do not have enough recovery breaks.
Holding your muscles in the same position for a long time
Lack of training in the safest way to carry out a task
Lack of variety in the type of work you do
Working in cold conditions
What’s Injured by RSI?
RSI potentially damages your muscles, tendons, nerves and joints (through repeated micro-trauma.)
WHY
So relating to using a squeegee and reason for developing RSI
is:
1/ Working with equipment that doesn’t fit your body.
In this case we are talking about the actual squeegee handle.
All handles for squeegees have never been designed to be held in hand while squeegeeing.
All were designed to be held or griped for other uses.
This is why it is causing not everyone but still causing RSI over time.
2/ Repeated micro-trauma
Found the fingers seem to be what is causing the RSI.
In particular your Ring and Little fingers are the lowest strength wise.
Yet they are the most used in way of Repeated Micro-Trauma due to the poorly designed squeegee handles.
Because while holding/griping round handle found that have to do many micro grips.
On a curvature handle at the base to stop from slipping around.
And this is why we have put a flat sides on base of the squeegee handle.
You have better surface contact then if the handle is round at base.
And have much lighter grip little or no Micro Grips.
-
There's more to it than putting a flat on the side of a handle - for a start you need to keep the hand/wrist in a neutral position ie the "handshake" - even in your avatar your wrist is at an angle which will cause problems not the handle.
If your so hot on rsi why are the poles you use round - they need to be shaped, again looking how you clean a window with a pole your wrists are bent this way and that
It is little wonder you have rsi - perhaps you need to re-visit your cleaning technique
Darran

It's about squeegee handles.
If that was too much information for you to take in and don't understand that's OK.

Most trad window cleaners dont have a problem with using a squeegee....its the knees that end up knackered after 50 years of climbing ladders and resting shins against the rungs....I know a few old boys and it's the knees that they have problems with not their hands...
-
I've got the same unger ergotech trad gear I've had for many years....and itll last me at least another 30 years I reckon as I hardly do any squeegee work commercially these days..
I'll probably be retired by the time I'm 79-80 if I live that long and I'm in reasonable health......

There we see again Herman - if you knew about rsi - you would know it’s about keeping the wrist straight and in a handshake position - I think your reply simply sums up that you are not willing to debate or recognise ANY contrary view other than your own regardl as of others experience - the thing with trad cleaning as those that don’t well is they clean a window with s shaped strokes for speed etc.. THIS bends the wrist in various ways causing long term injury - more so than the handle if (like me) your rubbish at trad and just straight pull across the window your position remains neutral regardless of the handle shape
Thankfully most now clean wfp so wrists are saved - we now get shoulder and neck issues instead ;D

He/she can only identifier the problem and treat it.
Not the exact cause..

H-Man. You are generating more heat than light. You refuse to take a hint that most of your ideas are not considered much use.
You have recently been told that at least one of your posts is dangerous.
Now you are making unfounded claims about how your changes to products will help RSI.
If these kind of posts continue you will have them deleted and you risk a ban.
