No need to spend hundreds of pounds just to turn the water ON/OFF.

My tap in a holster works for me.
-
I’m lost for words...
Univalve is £35 - not hundreds
No belt required - no being attached to the hose - very simple and effective

Univalve, no loop. Catch up

Univalve, no loop. Catch up
This turns the water off/ on like a light switch,
No faffing around pulling hoses jugging poles in hand.
Pulling rectus connection on the ground.
No pole hose dragging around feet.
Cost of this set up is around ten quid.
How much was yours again???

£35. Plus vat. For a convenient, well manufactured, guaranteed product that works without the loop of excess pole hose, (the bit that goes up the extreme pole when working above ground level)
This to me, makes it worth every penny.

This is for each pole then???
So as good as it seems you still have to lift /hold pole while pulling pole hose to turn on or off.
All we do is flick a switch.
Regarding pole hose suppose it's OK if you have a Excess pole hose.
This is one less thing you have to buy.
But if you happy with what you got good on you then. :)

i used to enjoy the early DIY days , dog earing squeegee channels ,carbon fishing poles , bently and salmon brushes
and not to forget the harris pole and trolley system .
Scouring b@q wilko and garden centres for tubing , different hose connectors and reels.
Most of the tools i use today come from the DIY ers of yesterday .

Yes your right there.
The only reason people have had problems with have a water switch of any sort has been that they tend to leak.
Found a solution to this using a nozzle works the same as a fire hose nozzle valve.
We will see what people think when a manufacture works it out and brings it out. ;D

Masters of wagtail on you tube has a very similar setup to what you have , and applies it with great skill

Like my tap in a holster ... and I can vary the flow with mine if I need to.

Uni vale - simle, lightweight - no hose wrapped around your gut - no heavy belt having to hold up yer trousers - freedom to leave the pole proper up against a fence, house - no unclipping on return to the van - sit in van without all that junk hanging off your waste need I go on ( unlike you...)
with your system your very likely to trip over the hose you've just connected to your waist - its also unportable to move around like this - also your switch is across the side of your body so your constantly reaching around to turn on/off water and that birds nest or pole hose is going to land by your feet and trip you up - hopefully you can address these problems - thats about it

We have learnt NOT to mention it - we will now be bombarded with hundred of threads about his super pad cleaner

Also you got to remember that taps that have been used in the past are designed to off /on now and then.
NOT continuously turn off/on this is why they eventually leak.
So all we have done differently is used a garden hose nozzle which has a thumb off/on switch which was designed to be continuously used.

Here's a closer look what we are using.

Well H. The tap I use is a small metal bodied industrial tap that cost me £8 about ten years ago. The rectus fitting screws into it. A 6mm tail screws in the other end. It has never leaked.
So as usual, your bodgit and click idea is of no relevance to me.
But if your hobby provides you with a purpose and provides entertainment and light humour on here and adds a few cents of click to you then in the hope that something useful appears once in a blue moon...

That's great how about showing everyone how you did it.
There always a different way I like to see how you did it. ;D

A garden hose nozzle with an on and off switch isn't designed to be continuously used for commercial use, even in a domestic setting its way too flimsy and not up to the job, its why most garden hose nozzles tend to come with an on and off spring loaded trigger.
Back to the drawing board H MAN.😁

In case you didn't notice this is not a trigger hose nozzle.
It works similar to a fire hose lever but smaller version. ;D
