this is a simple remote control invention that i came up with using your own vehicle remote control central locking doors, and remote control keyfob, for any vehicle that has central locking systems only, below is an ilustration on how it works,
buy a 12v car cig plug , and a cig plug end, maplins are cheap for them, try and get at least 2 metres of cable on each of them for plentyof play, or buy the cable and end bits seperatly, and make it up to your own specifications, for instance, you may need to run a cable to the pump and battery on a trailer,

this is called a paddle switch, only buy this type of micro switch, the reason for this all central door numptyes are place slightly diffrent, so the length of the paddle reaches them,

this is how it works. one end goes into the cig socket, (if you lighter does not work while the doors are close, simply put croc clips on where the cig plug was,and put directly onto the battery) the other is to recieve cig lighter plugs, a suction pad is attached to the back of the micro switch, so it can be place on the car side window just above the door numptye, now all you do is use your own remote key fob, now you could use your existing car battery, but my advice is to get a seperate one, so as not to run down your own, in this case just use croc clips and dont buy the cig plug,

That's a great idea.
I am looking for a way to remotely switch my trolley power on and off and was thinking about visiting a car scrapyard to get a fob and receiver. I know some people have had problems with obstacles preventing operation but I can also remember having a Saab which could be locked/unlocked from the back garden, ie through several walls/windows.
Any other suggestions appreciated.
Cheers
Mark
