Have a 2015 Transit Custom......never thought to ask when I bought but what does the third button on the fob do.....there's lock and unlock and one other.
-
Keys are upstairs but from memory it just opens the rear and side (cargo) doors

The middle one is lock, top unlocks the cab and bottom unlocks the load area

This.
I always thought it was obvious as each button has a picture on it denoting what it locks/unlocks.

So to lock cab only.....exit the vehicle lock it with middle button then unlock load area and this will leave cab locked?
The top one unlocks the the cab and the rear doors.

Yes
The top one only opens the back doors after it’s opened the fronts (double press)
Bottom opens rears only
