I'm having customers that are cleaned 6 weekly asking me to leave it for a couple of weeks as they are still clean !
Anyone else getting this ? ::)roll
-
I think you’ll find it’s leave it longer we don’t want to spend on the windows again yet.
-
Exactly the reason I changed to 8 weekly, customers are always happy to see me as windows are dirty.

Not at 6 weeks. The rain has kept some windows 'clean' but not all. If you start going back in 2 weeks time for example then you mess your 6 weekly schedule up.
They are within their rights to tell you to leave it now unless you have a stipulated agreement with them for a cleaning schedule, but you are in your rights to tell them the next clean is in a further 6 weeks and as the windows will be dirty they will cost you an extra xxxx (say 50%).
They could either agree to the extra and clean in 6 weeks, clean today as usual, they could cancel your service or you cancel your service to them. (It has cost you financially to be turned away at the door. Each job costs you to arrive at their door before you start work. When they turn you away they have robbed you of the time that you could have started another job and been paid for it.)
As far as I'm concerned this is the beginning of the tail trying to wag the dog. Skipping a clean because the windows are still clean isn't a valid excuse to cancel imho. If they have a valid reason to postpone the job then I will accept that, but this excuse would flash up red flags and I would prepare to lose the job at that moment.
As an old customer who has passed away once told me. "Young man, (she lied because I'm not young,) I'm paying you to keep my windows clean, not clean them when they are dirty."
Exactly the reason I changed to 8 weekly, customers are always happy to see me as windows are dirty.
I can see the reasoning behind this if you change your whole round to 8 weeks with a price increase. But 16 weeks is just too big a gap, especially for us on the coast.
I think you’ll find it’s leave it longer we don’t want to spend on the windows again yet.
True, but if the stall has been set out at 6 weeks and that's the schedule then the o/p can't afford to let the customer chop and change his mind at will as its affecting his earning potential. If the customer wants a preferential cleaning service then the o/p could arrange by appointment but that's an expensive service.

I’ve said this time and time again and it’s coming to fruition now people don’t want their windows cleaning every 4 weeks or every month,if you haven’t seen it yet you are either charging a few quid a clean or have mainly old age pensioners on you’re books.
The minimum I do is 6 weekly even that flys round quickly it almost only feels like a month,8 weekly they need a clean and you can charge more for the clean,as for saying you can say ok it’ll be 50% more if I leave it is ridiculous I have jobs that are 200 + domestics I’m not gonna cut my nose off and start talking to customers like that at anytime soon that I’ve had for years.
6 weeks-8 weeks-3 monthly they ain’t that dirty you need to be sensible if you build a route of work that is monthly you are never going to get top priced work on domestics forget it,I have a minimum I’m not going to say what it is but I’d never get it monthly so i don’t offer monthly unless they stipulate it.
You will get people coming back saying I have a huge round of work that’s monthly, maybe you have but maybe it’s 3-4-5 bed detached properties at 25 notes a clean but I don’t clean houses like that for 25 notes I’m a jogger not a sprinter, people will pay more but not if you are turning up between shaves.

Yes occasionally most are beacause they are moving, have died ,or some other reason that they will or won’t share 😂😂, but it’s unusual.

We have over 4000 customers vast majority are 4 weekly all age ranges I think this frequency thing is area related a friend of mine lives near Newcastle and has his windows cleaned fortnightly down hear the majority ask for monthly cleans on domestic , we have costal stuff that’s done weekly in stormy weather and some holiday homes and apartment blocks done daily when it’s Stormy as the guests complain they cannot see out of the windows.

Im running about8 weeks but i get round when i get round some times it can take 9 weeks with bad wether running it like this eases the pressure like yesterday i packed in at 1pm because im not booking a full days work in people seem happy with my relaxed schedule :)

I tell my custards it's all about "frame maintenance" and doing my bit trying to keep your front door covid free with my antibacterial spray.
I live on the coast so a lot of people want a window clean every four weeks
-
Of course people will have their windows cleaned every 4 weeks or monthly that’s fair enough,I don’t want to be cleaning houses that are £5-30-40 every month on mass though.
It’s a different story down parts of the South they are in a bubble they might as well be on the moon compared to other parts of the country financially.

-
I cleaned a full house internal gutters about 2 months ago....told me she had a window cleaner but he wasn't interested in cleaning out gutters.....she pays him £10 fortnightly for a 3 bed semi on a not that busy road.
-
He's been doing them for her for the last 15 years since they moved there....trad.

The vast majority of my customers are on 8 weekly.
Most times I turn up the windows are still clean.

Ime quite happy cleaning peoples windows for £30-40 per month depending on size two or three per hour like that is fine good money and easy work .

Yeah I know but come on i put that but people aren’t charging 40 quid in the main are they read above the chances are it’s a poxy 10er 🤣🤣,people won’t pay what I and other people are charging on a monthly basis and if you have enough work you don’t need to rush round each month.
If you have a job in a road for a fiver there’s a good chance you will get many more just the same when you pick work up if you catch my drift.
