their stuff is quality ;D
-
clothes2order seem to do masses of different brand of polo shirts and hoodies. Which ones are decent?
-
I get new fleeces and polo shirts every year, I find that because I work outside all day they fade badly, most noticeably at the shoulders.

AWDis just cool polos for the summer months, nice and lightweight 👌

Climate cool shirts are by far the best I find a thermal underneath if it’s winter, sod those fruit of the loom style T shirts baking hot in the summer they are and they look like a bag of poope after a while.

I have been using these for the last 5 years best I have had, slightly more expensive but last 2-3 years and it’s not a cotton material so you don’t need to iron them.
-
How long is a piece of string , like all things they get replaces when looking tatty , or ripped that could be after a year or several years
-
Ive got loads, i started off with red, then blue, then grey and now orange
Decided on blue/orange as my company colours going forward.
Still got a fleece in every colour as they dont seem to wear out, the hoodys always get battered for some reason and the polos usually last a couple of years.

That doesn’t portray a very professional image to the customer , we wouldn’t have half the work we do if we turned up dressed like that , most want to see uniformed staff , so that they are easily recognisable especially on commercial work and the more affluent areas of society

I'm due some new polo shirts this year, mine are starting to fade.
Also my embroidered hoody and sweatshirt are also a bit past it.
On the good side I bought some Engelbert Strauss shorts x2 last year and they are still like new.
Also Engelbert Strauss, fleece lined cargo trousers and a pair of ES normal cargo trousers, both have been brilliant.
I also purchased a Scruffs hoodie (black) and a Scruffs bodywarmer...all good.
This year I think I will also go with an embroidered soft shell jacket. Then I can wear anything I fancy underneath but still look smart when I go to do quotes etc.
I still can't find any decent trainers for the summer that wear well and are fairly waterproof.
Any suggestions would be welcomed....ta ;D

An embroidered uniform for a sole trading mainly domestic window cleaner has always seemed a bit ott to me.
I've just work clothes that I use for work only. Plain blue t shirts and a blue fleece for colder days. I've splashed out on a couple of pairs of trousers though.
These

If you want them fairly waterproof you’d be better with goretex walking shoes, Salomon, Mammut etc

At the end of a normal winter day I end up blathered anyway.........my customers aren't fussed what I'm wearing as long as there property is cleaned properly.....and around 70% of them are, in normal times, out...........it's a job not a fashion show.........commercial would be a different thing though.

Guess it depends on the type of clients you have

IMO it looks more professional if you have personalised workwear. It’s not as though it’s a luxury, it’s relatively inexpensive, maybe a tenner odds for polo shirts and fifteen quid odds for fleeces/hoodies..........and of course it’s tax deductible, which isn’t the case if you are using everyday leisurewear.
-
it makes you stand out from the other window lickers.....theres a lot of competition these days.....
when you clean in posher areas you wanna look the part IMO......also im vain.....i wanna look smart AND professional! ;D

Sorry to bring this thread up again but what do you guys recommend for jumpers and polos for taller guys? I’m quite tall and I’m sick and fed up with buying workwear and then shrinking after a wash. Any makes anyone recommends for jumpers/polos that are a bit more generous in sizing and length? AND won’t blinking well shrink after one wash Lol. Cheers
