One of my r o filter housing cracked in the frost can't get replacement as fittings all different now. Looks like I will have to buy new r o system and won't be able to produce pure water til it arrives. No work for rest of week now
-
Use di as a substitute for now
-
Spotless water
-
Pre filters and DI if you have the right fittings to adapt it.
-
I have a spare Gardiners RO out the back if you’re interested. No membranes but the unit is available.
-
Blimey you look for an easy week off don’t you lol.

I was wondering about that just plumb mains water direct to d I vessel?

Having lost 2 weeks due to weather the last thing I want is more time off. I'm so far behind I should be on my second visit to my current work, instead I haven't finished my first. Haven't been at all to my other round.
-
I'd fill the vans tank from tap and put di after pump. Depending on your tds the resin may last longer ? or so I believe from what I've read over the years..
-
Can't use just d I, tds over 100; even going through membranes still over 100. Filled up at spotless water point !36 litres cost me 5.71. Nearest point us about 15 mins from home so not too far to travel after work.
-
If you are getting out of the tap at 100 I’d just DI for a week.
-
There's people. Round my way doing the backs of people's houses terreced houses. Double di. At. 370 ppm. Because they can't leave van accoss the street so they take bottles round back. They do it every day.
Di only NWH. Is right

The readings of over 100 were AFTER DI,not from the tap. It’s over 200 from the tap.
My system was bought from Peter Fogwill of Broxburn Cleaning Systems, who has the window-tools forum. It’s 13 years old now and is an R O man system,I looked up r o man last night,al”,parts still available with the required fittings. I can get the replacement housing for 14 quid including vat or a brand new 100gpd system 3 stage for £72 including vat. The current system is a 4 stage 200gpd with carbon and sediment filter then 2 x100 membranes and d i.vessel. My van tank is 210 l, and the pure water static system filters in to twos 210 l water butts so would the 100gpd system be enough?

No offence but I would bin it all & buy a 4040.
-
You need a 40x40 for this job people were buying them when WFP was in its infancy the best out of all of them was probably the Merlin at the time but with huge waste to pure ratio.
Get an HF5 they work and produce water quickly even at low pressure 30-40psi it’ll give you 500-600 ltrs in 5-6 hours un boosted obviously.

Speak to June at Gaps Water. Google them. She’s brilliant.
-
All you need is 2 10-20” pre filters and an HF5 40” membrane m8 job done speak to June if you don’t need oceans 🌊 of water a day it’ll do you, you’ll get a 1000 easy ltrs at a plod at low pressure I’ve been using HF5s for years now I’m upgrading soon I’ll want more water.

36 litres cost you £5.71? I don’t think. They charge 3.5p a litre.
-
Typo Slacky 136 litres

Looked at the 40/40,,too much hassle and expense atm as it would mean having to modify the van which would mean more work time lost so just ordered a replacement like for like system as I hope to scale down the window cleaning in a couple of years to concentrate more on the carpet cleaning
