Coldest night of the winter so far, in which case, if you haven’t take your RO’s indoors yet you probably ought to.
-
Plugged the heater in last night but someone decided to pull it out to plug the toaster in last night...
So vans absolutely frozen solid this morning.
My R.O has been running all night into my ibc which has prevented it freezing even though its outside with no insulation.
-
My r/o is in a wooden cupboard by the house. I have a 70w tube heater in with it.
Which is cosy.
-
Leave mine running :-)
-
-7 to -10 here tonight, won’t be working tomorrow, waters gonna freeze on the glass within a second.
Mild next week, so cracking on then.

I put the heater in last night and forgot to plug it in :-\. Fortunately I'd covered the reel with a blanket and that didn't freeze. Pole hoses were frozen though, so I disconnected them and put them in the cab to defrost while I drove to work. On my last job I noticed a puddle under the van. Antifreeze is leaking out somewhere. So tomorrow it's booked in at a garage 🙄

Minus 6. Tonight. In sw london no work untill Monday.
There's clumps of ice. All over the roads
Moped riders still delivering food. Crazy
-
Currently -2.4C in West Dorset.
Yesterday the warmest it managed at noon was 0c.
I didn't go to work either.
-
I'm in West Sussex ( Thakeham ) I have a van mounted system with ro & pump fitted in van,500w rad in back of van, inside a box covering system with a duvet on top of box,Probably not working tommorow due to temp going down to minus 7 tonight.
I'm normally able to work at minus 2 after defrosting external ports with hair drier.
Probably have a lie in with mens entertainment as wife going to work

I’m assuming that’s too cold?
It amazes me the people that down tools at zero. We’ve not lost a day to weather in two years. One day lost to snow two years ago when I called it at 8 and it stopped snowing at 9. ::)roll

I detect sarcasm. I'm guessing it's a degree or two higher in Bristol. Have you sacked it off?

Have we heck; who do you think I am, NWH?
We’ve not sacked in a day because of cold (yet), just slightly later starts.
-3 here at the moment, Soups has it slightly colder.
-
Minus 2 apparently here but working, apart from the odd house/window/conny thats iced up ive managed to work everday so far this winter apart from 2 heavy snow days. Its probably been the wettest/coldest winter i can remember yet not lost many days at all. Amazing what you can do when you just get on with it.

I remember my first winter asking how to keep going in the cold. As long as you keep the water flowing once you're thawed it's all good. Easy to just have a trickle with a tap - which is what we use. But what's the point of hot water if you're van's on the drive cos it's coldy woldy.
-
How often do you look at your thermometer and it says -10 not very often unless you live in Scotland, the usual cold temperatures hot can be used and it gets used by me with no problems if you know what you are doing.
Ignore the cleaning benefits completely soft hoses nothing frozen in the van all kept warm by the frost stat only the bucket full of trad gear rigid with cold, have you ever tried reeling in frozen microbore it slaps back on the reel like a hookers thighs 🤣🤣 sod that the problems cold users have had this week you won’t have heard 10% of the problems they’ve had,I’ve just had a someone text me saying everything has frozen from outside tap to hose into tank.
