Isn't it amazing how when customers owe you a lot of cleans.. Suddenly your a rubbish window cleaner 😁just messaged a customer which owed me 4 cleans.. Always have to message for online payment... She messaged me back to cancel because she never saw me clean them last time and one window had smears on.. I wonder if the three other cleans before she was not in had smears aswell? 😁made me giggle tday... Good job I'm not easily offended or give a shxxxxt

4 cleans mmmmm, 2 cleans max and even then there’s only a select few that I allow that luxury.

Don’t lose any sleep over that at all what she may as well have said is I can’t afford to have my windows cleaned anymore,I know I’ll say the window cleaners rubbish and bin him off.
The fact that she hasn’t paid for 4 cleans says it all every time she’s seen you’re ticket or text her heart skipped a beat 🤣🤣

ive never had a customer like that for around 10 years now (thank god!)i dont clean more than twice without payment for most customers.....

I've been paid.. It was a sarcy message with the payment.. I only let it go to 4 cleans because she's really fit😁😁😁🤪

They are the worst ones in my experience when they realise it makes no difference.

I never let it go past one clean.....
I have a guy that does my lawns .... I would never not pay him on the day ...
If a customer is habitually late they are binned.

I only do one clean, if they cant pay for one by time next clean is due what makes you think they will pay for 2,3 or 4.
When i started i did one fat cow 4 times, £40. never got the money >:(

This makes no difference if anything it can pose more of a problem and can induce cancellations,Gocardless and the like are a good tool when the economy is booming and people are less frugal,people like the woman mentioned in times like these would cancel a window cleaning direct debit in a heart beat her real excuse should be I can’t really afford a window cleaner,she must be struggling if she can’t afford that every month or so.

We invoice for commercial cleans
At the start I was really late to invoice and would often end up invoicing for months of cleans at a time.. even over a years worth of cleans
It would often end up with then querying the cleans happened or complaining about the cleans
Switched to Xero and we just automate the invoices on the same freq as the cleans
Don’t get complaints now
It was nothing about the cleans. The problem was me invoicing late

I invoice commercial jobs on the day of the clean...why would you invoice them late?
Just got paid this morning from one job....a nice chunk...they always pay within 28 days usually....

I’m not good at keeping on top of admin so this is what happened.
It’s a bit like saying to someone ‘why do you loose your keys all the time? Just put them in the same place..’ ;D
I’ve got adhd so I get distracted easily by jobs or things that are more appealing
Sorted now though as it’s automated by Xero

i never lose my keys......i always know where they are.....in fact im probably the opposite of you...im always super organised...
slips printed,worksheets downloaded,filled tank up,batteries on charge ready for monday now.... ;D

You’ve got to work with what you’ve got though. I rely on systems, processes and technology.
But that has advantages too so..

Absolutely agree with your point. You’re 100% correct
You side step a lot of problems by invoicing promptly
And cause yourself a lot of problems by leaving it late
