With the warm weather, the temperature of the water is rather high is there any way of controlling it on a blazer as there is no thermostat or will it just cook the seals eventually?

which seals are you on about?
to control the water temp you have to return some of the water that has passed through the heat exchanger back into the freshtank, this is how I control my water temp' .
I have a secondary pressure relief valve fitted, so the machine pressure valve is set at 500psi and the second relief valve set at 300psi so when I release the wand trigger water still runs through the heat exchanger but returns back into the water tank. This is especially good fro when I am cleaning upholstery because other wise my water would just boil.

Doesn't it dump when it reaches a pre-set temperature?

the water feed directly out of ther fresh tank so the machine can get as hot as hell it won't make any difference to the pump. the pump pushes the water through the heat exchanger, until then the water is cold.
the only time hot water passes through the pump is when the truckmount uses a waterbox to use the blower to pre-heat the water.

it might want descalinging, HM sell a good descaler, just pour into your header tank spray turn TM on and allow it to reach the pump by attaching an open end onto your qc let some through and then you know it has reached all over then leave over night to do its job.

The reason I asked the question I was loosing pressure which I thought were the seals in the pump already replaced them once,but it was the high pressure hose which was really badly corroded.It does not need descaling as when I had the pump apart there was nothing in there clean as a whstle.

Steve I think Shaun is refering to de-scaling the heat exchanger, if you live in a hard water area it will need doing every 6months. Although this will make the water hotter. I'm doing mine this weekend.

Any one with a older woodbridge (hercules) .I am getting a bit of trouble with the pressure so i am thinking of descaling .Small amount of water in fresh tank and then add acid (prochem ) then run machine for 15 mins it say,s only leave in for about 15 mins but i have heard of some that you leave in for 24 hrs .Then wash it out with fresh water des

I use a Steamway and I get alot of lime build up. I was told to use a acid rinse powder to each tank of water so that it stops the build up of lime. I think it works to a degree, but it is interesting to see what others do in the same situation.
