Title: The annual when are you finishing for Xmas thread...
Post by: deeege on December 14, 2020, 07:00:49 pm
Bang on track this year for pretty much a full 2 weeks off.

Have a half day of commercial to do on Monday 21st then off until Monday 4th January. (will have to do a few shops one morning between Xmas and new year but only a couple hours work)

What about you?

You lot haven’t got enough work.  ;D

Either that or I’ve got too much. I’ll be working Christmas Eve and even then there will be a few days work I won’t have got round in December.

It’ll be there in January though I’m sure. Looking forward to some down time.

I’ve got plenty enough work 😀 I could happily work right upto Xmas and then work between Xmas and new year too. I’m choosing not to though. Bit of downtime and reacharge the batteries after the silly year we’ve had.

Sometimes im out cleaning, almost done for the day then next door will come out "can you clean mine" i always say next time as just dont need that when i think im going home....

I don't tend to have a lot of time off.  I'll be working up until the 22nd or possibly 23rd and then back on Monday the 28th.  Will just have the Friday off for that week (New Years Day).

What happens then, can you all go to Wales and infect the Taffs?

Listening to the numptys on FB you’d think Christmas is pointless if the pubs are closed. Idiots everywhere.

But you don't want to be thinking about your van and undesirable customers during your time off over Christmas, do you?
Have a good one anyway.

Its just boring and tedious daz, whats to enjoy lol it hurts your neck and shoulders, its dark, wet, miserable at the minute etc.

10 jobs to do tomorrow and thats me done for one year, ive had enough  ;D

In fact ive just messaged 4 of them asking if they would prefer to leave it till new year, one of them said yes! get in!  Only reason ive asked them though is because it fits in better with my round if they wait, bit of a scraps day tomorrow mopping up the bits that are scattered about.

Well thats me all done.

Bit of a premature ending as last job i went to do i had a falling out with the owner and flounced.

Farm house that ive cleaned twice, first time she knocked me down on price after i had cleaned it, second time slow payment then third time she didnt want it doing last week when i was in the area as she wanted it doing before christmas. To be honest its not normally something i would entertain but as i still need more work for the new lad ive kept a few of these messers on longer than i should have...

I reluctantly agreed and i was in two minds of doing it today so left it till last job...pulled into the farm next to the house and i parked half on the drive and half on the verge which is just a mucky field. I parked there because anywhere else i was blocking the drive for the farm vehicles that were coming in and out.

Husband came out shouting about me parking on the muck, i apologised and explained why i parked there, he carried on and said i will be charging you for the ruts you have caused, i apologised again and he stormed off into the house.

So i go back in the truck and buggered off, thats the end of that job and a nice way to finish for christmas  ;D
