Title: Brass Snap-On Hose Lock Revolving Eblow issue
Post by: JJay on October 07, 2020, 07:59:46 pm
Hi guys. Does anyone been using this? I've got third this year where rubber sealing has been pushed outside the brass causing leaks.
Have you got any idea how to prevent that from happening or maybe replace with something different? Thanks in advance.

If it’s the ones from Gardiners then yes  !
The rubber washer is not wide enough .
I just put another one in instead , the washer from the fitting that goes on an outside tap is bang on

I’ve just gone back to a fixed hozelock. It’ll be cheaper in the long run as all I’ll have to replace is the plastic push on hozelock which you can get for a quid rather than pay £9 for a whole brass swivel.

What I have done is to secure the hose, going into the brass swivel, using cable ties.
This stops the brass swivel from moving freely in any direction; and it's helped.

If the rubber washer is not working, then try a right size fibre washer?

Rubber washer inside has been pushed by water pressure. I haven't tryied to installed. It came as it is from manufacturer.
