Carried out my first colour repair today using a colour I had made up by Ltt(thanks Judy saved me a couple of hours there :D )
Patches all over suite where attempts had been made to remove ink.Bit nervous at first until I got into full flow then it felt like I had been doing it for years.Customer well impressed mind so was I,could not believe I was capable of doing this kind of work.
I would highly recommend the LTT course as it is so easy to carry this type of work out and make alot of money

Well done Steve
Confidence is a real key to this. The more you do and practice the better the repairs will become but good to hear the colour worked so well. There is good maoney to be made in this field.

dont know if andy said to you on the course but the key to this game is the colour match. he told us to practice practice practice until you feel confident at what paints you are using . wise move getting judy to mix the paint for you as the time it can take the likes of the inexperienced can far out weigh the time to do the whole repair. out of interest judy what do you charge for colour mixing!?

Well done Steve. I was out tonight to survey a leather 2 seater, turned out to be an aniline in need of restoration and the cust wants me to give it a try ,she was going to throw it out if it couldn't be cleaned . Might need to give Andy or Judy a call before i do it for a refresher ;) .

Anilines can look fantastic after a restorative cleaning process. Colour is very easy to mix unlike pigments and it will bring a tired looking suite back to life. Aniline leathers if looked after and cleaned and protected on a regular basis can look fantastic for many years. We have a 25 year old sofa which looks like new.
Give us a ring if you want some memory jogging of the process
