Post by: Cleaner Windows on July 11, 2006, 09:17:17 pm
if it wasnt for wc i wouldnt have my girlfriend(fiance) and 2 kids!!
I started going to the village i now live at cos my mum lived here and said i should try canvassing up this way as she didnt think there was too many wc's about.so here i came..she was right!! i got loads of customers!
one of which happened to be female and saw me cleaning in her road. She apparently took a bit of a liking towards me and asked for me to add her to my list, which of course i did!
after about the 2nd clean i heard through my mum that this young lady wanted me!!!
i took her out..she stayed at my place near brighton and now i live with her and have two kids :D

anyone else got a similar story maybe?

I don't have a similar story but one thing that is nice is that before being a w/c I knew a few local people to where I live (on a council estate) but now it seems I know loads of them. Over time we must do roughly half the houses along my street and probably one in ten of the rest of the estate.

I do know another w/c who married one of his customers a few years back.

And who said window cleaning is a bad job!!

The one thing I do find embarrassing is when someone stops me in the street and says hello and I haven't the faintest idea who they are.

Worse still, I was out with my mates and a girl came up to me chuffed to bits that she could introduce her window cleaner to her mates, best of it is, I managed to get 3 more jobs from it !!

Love it  ;D ;D

i know what you mean about seeming to know loads of em. even when i go shopping at tesco's i seem to bump into someone who i clean for and as trevor said its quite embarrasing sometimes cos i aint got a clue who they are most of the time ;D
