Wonder why nobody has produced a swivel hose reel yet?
This one doesn’t hold enough hose.(http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1599509698_8BC7D10E-E2F2-4143-BA72-6AE14A12C54E.jpeg)

Can you imagine trying to wind that in and lay your hose over the reel equally without it going all over the place ? I think it would move whichever way you where pushing that handle.

Pure freedom do a swivel base for their electric reel

Been done already but don't see the point

Can you imagine if it had a lock on it to stop this happening lol.

I converted one from my office swivel chair.

Office swivel chair? How very middle class. 🤣
-
I made my own with this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353159391844
Also made my own locking mechanism.
Got rid of it for the simple reason that I hardly used the swivel function, and I got fed up with the hose that feeds the reel getting kinked. Could of used better hose, but just decide to go back to a fixed reel. ;D

Not at all. The workers are entitled to comforts. I've told you before, Gold taps in public toilets, gold.
That's knowing your place, Malcolm.

Works well doesn’t it?
I also added a locking function at 90 degree intervals. It was great.
I just found I never really used it, and the hose feeding the reel annoyed me when I turned it.

The reason why it's not really seen is because a roller setup through the floor is the gold standard, in my humble opinion. 360 degree angle but in reality 180+ degrees because of the tyres. Your reel doesn't need to swivel at all. There's not really any need for one. It kind of just complicates things. It's very easy to install a roller system.
You just need to measure thrice, cut once.
