Title: Down pipes gutter clearing

While leaving leaflets with customers.

I’m checking out the gutters.

Just seeing some down pipes are not open at the bottom,

they go into the concrete and on the floor there’s a small square lift able drain cover

Are these type of down pipes a problem?

I know most blockages will occur at the top swan neck.

But down pipes mentioned must be difficult to disconnect at the top due to de rigid in the ground.

Also noticed customers with anti pigeon spikes on guttering too
Are longer tools needed to overcome this problem 😞

If the soak away is blocked we suggest they get a builder  , but we do  on occasions fit theses at the bottom of the down pipes if access is needed into the down pipes  takes less than 10 muinits to fit (http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1599322151_FF504A77-F037-4096-89E8-2F1EE9570855.png)

Splash has covered it really - if blocked at the bottom it's dynorod (or other) we offer the alternative which is to fit a shoe - simply cut the down pipe 4 inches from the ground, push on a shoe that allows water put the down pipe - shoe costs about £1.25 take 10 mins to fit - usually charge 2 hours or window cleaning work

So that’s ladders taking spikes off
Clear gutters

Put spikes back 🙇🏻‍♂️
