I notice several people use Fairy for trad cleaning.
I use GG4 and I'm happy with it, but if I can use something that doesn't need to be delivered it would be better.
My question is, is there some reason for using Fairy or would any washing up liquid do the job?

Hi Mike,
I have always used Fairy as it has a good consistency and is readily available.
Have never had any problems with smears etc... and always leaves a good finish.
Best wishes,
Trev

I use fairy (liquid), and im happy with that, but i did use a cheaper but named liquid, which also worked well, but I had put more of it in, so although was cheaper to buy than fairy, all in all it cost the same.
I would not recomend the real cheap stuff.
I also put some Unger gel on the mop in the morning I think this helps.

I use fairy too and have done for about 6 years or so. ive always found it good to use but people have been telling me its for beginners and to use other professional wc liquids for a better result. i'm yet to try any others but will do next week..just to see!!

I always used "Fairy" when i was trade & still do if i do insides, no probs.
The only complaint was dermititus now & again, bit of cream & sorted.

Fairy (or similar) for me too.
Plenty of slip and plenty of suds. Lovely. :D

I'm glad you posted that reply. I have a really bad problem with my right hand. My skin peels off and I come out in a red rash on my thumb. I hardly have any skin left on the hand. Been to the doctors several times and they are useless, so I went to see a specialist in aberdeen. (a privat meeting) He said I have rubber dermititus. So I try to avoid all contact with rubber but the broblem is still there :'( He said to use double base gell and wear cotton gloves and it should clear up. But I cant wear them as my hands are constantly getting wet :'( What cream did you use?
P.S back to the subject, I use gg3 and cant see past it! expensive though!

GG4 you cant beat it.I ran out recently and had to use fairy while waiting for the order.Horrible stuff!!

OK thanks. I have to get GG4 mail order and it's not easy getting stuff delivered when you live on a boat.
I experimented with Tesco liquid today and I like the way it gets more sudsy than GG4 or Squeegee Off - makes it easier to see where I've been. I'll get some Fairy tomorrow and try that.
I had a bit of a problem with my skin cracking when I first started but not now, so I'll keep an eye on it.

It work a treat for me, eases the burning tight feeling straight away. ;D

Squeegie off and pure water. Never been better results but not as slippery as I would have liked. Rubber can stick sometimes.
The secret is you just put a tiny drop of sqeegiee off in the water.
