Hi guys
Put a post on here before about the best thing to paint van panels with. This was a recommendation. Has anyone used? If so how easy is it to use? Read that you need a mask etc and you can either spray or roller on. I’m thinking of just rollering on.

Easy to use. You can brush it on if you want, best finish is spray though.

Ideally, spray but rolling works very well too.
Ideal weather at the moment as the very high ambient temperature will accelerate the curing time.
Make sure you wear the appropriate 2k filter mask and don't get it on your skin.

Some vans dont need it , I have a Vivaro and is aluminium so wont rust.

Don’t you mean galvanised steel ?.. don’t know of any aluminium vans .

Must admit, I'd be very surprised if the Vauxhall Vivaro was made of aluminium (or galvanised for that matter).
I googled "Vauxhall Vivaro Aluminium" and all I got was aftermarket side steps...

Vivaros and Trafics are galvanized dipped at manufacture.
I believe we still need to be protecting the cargo floor area with something like Raptor. It makes the floor non slip. In our case we have loose hose reels and it helps to protect the paint and galvanized metal underneath when taking the reels in and out.

If water is present then even aluminum needs protection.
Dissimilar metal corrosion is present where aluminum and steel meet.
That's why Land Rover Discovery body's get holes in them.

Thanks E and M. Do you think as I’m rolling it on it’s necessary to have the full face gear? Would a normal face mask and gloves just do? I’ve seen some people on YouTube with just that. It’s more the ones that spray that have the full gear on. Cheers

Unless they've changed the make up it's isocyanate based which is nasty stuff.
Ideally, you want an air fed mask but there conventional, twin filter masks rated for 2k paint available on eBay.
You want to be wearing the mask as soon as you start mixing the product.
The vapour from the product can set inside your lungs which is very bad plus one or two have died from anaphylactic shock on contact - but that is pretty rare.
Proper spec mask and all will be well but make sure it is proper spec - don't scrimp on a cheap one as masks are cheaper than lungs.
I need to do the bed on my pick up and that will be with a conventional mask but of course it is outdoors as well.

It should have a spec sheet with it.
Does it make any PPE recommendations in it ?

Sorry should have said it’s in the post so not actually arrived yet. Bought a 4 inch mini roller set also. Will have to have a look 👍

Its always better to just spend the money on the right mask. Ive sprayed loads of stuff and when you go bit dizzy, coughing up phlegm and your lungs hurt you wish you had worn one. Done that more than once.
As long as its well ventilated with a roller i wouldnt worry too much, i sprayed an entire car in raptor with nothing other than a N95 dust mask but i was outside so only needed to stop splatters and not fumes.

In talks with my handyman and offered him £120 and a fine bottle of wine but it wasn’t enough lol. Said it would take at least a day as he would need to prep it etc with tape. I honestly didn’t realise it would take that long. Thought it was a few hours tops. Bear in mind we are only rollering it on not spraying

You know what I mean,some vans don't need it,maybe not aluminium van I have ;D but you get the gist ;D ;D

£200 agreed by handyman. He is meticulous so know he will do a good job. Much cheaper than speedlining. I don’t trust myself to not get it all over myself and end up in A and E 😂
