Title: Ionic resin
Post by: swanson on August 06, 2020, 06:19:55 pm
Hi Guys
Just a heads up bought some resin from ionic and it has literally lasted me 6 weeks.
My TDS is 67 out the tap,
So be careful if you are buying any from ionic at the moment may be a bad batch.

Buy a 10k system from them safe in the knowledge that it’s going to make you the best window cleaner in the area.

that tells us absolutely nothing about the resin . You could have purified 50000 litres . Or 5 litres .

It's anecdotal I know but I've used mb115 for years but couldn't get any recently so bought 3 bags of ionic resin. Used two bags now,  but it isn't as good. Can't tell you in litres but it just doesn't perform as well.

You don’t I think you need to buy an add on heater or complete system to put there livery on your van, years ago I guy near me got a call from them because he had it on his van.
He got his van wrapped and the guy used the download from another guy he’d done previously very naughty,he got a warning to remove it from them. A local bloke had spent 1000s with them for the privilege reported him.

I use roughly 3/4 00 litres  of water a day. 4 days a week = 1600  litres a week.x 6 weeks =9600 litres of water  1 bag of resin tap TDS 67.
Usually I get a least 12 weeks.

may be a bad batch.... I use roughly the same amount of water , and my tds is a little higher than yours . I bought 3 bags before lock down from ionics , and a bag lasts me roughly about 12 weeks .
although i do let my water creep to about 10 before i change it .... I also stir the resin for a few days when the tds starts rising . this gives me a few extra days also.
i dont think any resin is as good as it was years ago

Would it not work out cheaper long term to get a 4040? My 4040 churns our water at 001 , then I put it through resin .
